5-Day Luxor to Aswan Nile Cruise: Standard, Deluxe or Luxury
- 5 Days 4 Nights
- Luxor - Esna - Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan
- Jan - Dec
Trip Overview
This Luxor to Aswan Nile cruise gives you four nights on the river and an extra day in Luxor compared with the shorter 3-night trip. You see the temples of Karnak and Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae, with the ship moving between them while you eat, rest or watch village life pass from the sun deck.
You choose the class. Standard ships such as the Sunrise Semiramis fleet give you comfortable 5-star cabins at the best price. Deluxe ships such as the Jaz fleet have more space, better food and more polished service. Luxury ships such as the Steigenberger fleet or Le Fayan add the largest cabins and the best dining. Ships sail on set days each week, so we confirm the exact boat when you book. Opening hours for the sites are on the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities website.

FAQ
Which class should I choose?
Standard suits travellers who want good value and spend most of the day sightseeing. Deluxe gives you more space and better food for a moderate extra cost. Luxury is for honeymoons and special trips, with the largest cabins and the best service.
Why Luxor to Aswan instead of Aswan to Luxor?
Sailing from Luxor takes four nights instead of three, so you have a full extra day for the Luxor sites and a slower trip up the Nile.
How do I get to Luxor from Cairo?
Take a one-hour domestic flight or the overnight sleeper train. We can book either and add it to your trip.
When is the best time for a Nile cruise?
October to April, when days are warm and sunny. Summer cruises cost less, but afternoon temperatures in Luxor and Aswan often pass 40°C.
