Trip Overview
Our solar eclipse 2027 Egypt tour puts you in Luxor for the big day. On Monday 2 August 2027 the Moon will cover the Sun over Luxor for about 6 minutes and 22 seconds, close to the longest totality of the whole eclipse path. Maximum eclipse in Luxor falls at about 1:05 pm local time, with the Sun almost overhead. Totality this long will not be seen from land again until 2114.
This 6-day private tour puts you in Luxor for eclipse day, with Cairo’s Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum before it. Sightseeing is planned for early mornings and evenings to avoid the August heat. On eclipse day you watch from a reserved spot on the West Bank with certified eclipse glasses and a briefing the night before. Eclipse paths and timings are published by NASA, and our solar eclipse 2027 Egypt tour is planned around them.
Combine it with: our Luxor hot air balloon ride, 4-day Aswan to Luxor Nile cruise and Mahmya Island snorkelling trip from Hurghada. Or browse all our Egypt tours.
