To start your Jordan 5-Day Itinerary, your tour leader will meet and assist you upon your arrival at Amman International Airport. After that, you will be transferred to your hotel in Amman by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in. Upon arrival at the hotel, the tour leader will complete your check-in and provide detailed information about your itinerary. Overnight in Amman.
After breakfast, visit the Roman ruins in Madaba, including the famous 4th-century Byzantine mosaic map of Israel inside the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Next, transfer to Mt. Nebo, the site where Moses is believed to have gazed at the Promised Land and was buried. Visit the old monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land.
Afterward, proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Enjoy the therapeutic properties of the mineral-rich mud and take a relaxing float in the salty waters. After this rejuvenating experience, return to Amman for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer north to Jerash, a well-preserved ancient city that showcases Roman grandeur through its colonnaded streets, the Oval Plaza, the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis.
Continue to Ajloun Castle, built by Izz Al-Din Usama, a general of Salah Al-Din, in 1184 AD. Then proceed to Umm Qais (ancient Gadara), a Greco-Roman city with stunning views of the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, journey to Petra, Jordan’s iconic archaeological site established by the Nabateans around the 6th century B.C. Begin the tour on horseback to the Siq (canyon) and continue on foot to the Treasury, Petra’s most famous monument. Explore other highlights, including the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh’s Castle.
After the tour, drive to Wadi Rum for an overnight camping experience under the stars in a traditional Bedouin camp.
